An empty scene displays a table (workbench) on top of a grid.
Your models will be built on the table. You can use the table and the grid as a reference point when moving in the scene. But you can also ask to have the table and grid not be displayed. (See chapter User Manual/Preferences/Interface.)
The scene includes all of the objects created in the same work space.![]()
You will be able to display those objects in wireframe
mode or in shaded mode. (See chapter User Manual
Preferences/Interface/Work Space/Display Mode.)
The advantage of the shaded display mode is that it makes
manipulations more interactive and more realistic. The wireframe display mode is better
suited to precise work.
